On Life. I love life and I enjoy living. My principle is to treat others the way I want to be treated My philosophies are to not sweat the hard things in life, enjoy everyday as if it were your last and when life throws you rocks, build a home and garden with them! 🙂

On Food. I have been cooking up a storm since the tender age of eleven but have been a self proclaimed sous chef from the age of six, trailing my aunts and cousins in the kitchen as they whipped together fresh meals daily for our large extended family.

On Gardening. Coming from a family of humble beginnings, our main source of food came from the ground. I have fond memories of taking weekend long hiking trips to the “jungle” where we fished,  gathered food and would sit around a bubbling pot of Ital at sunset as my uncle shared stories from long ago with us kids. Nevertheless, I had never put a seed to dirt (unless the times I grew lentil sprouts on toilet paper in secondary school count) until 2 years ago when my beau Kel and I purchased our first home together and decided to convert the back/side yard into a modern day homestead. I love getting my hands dirty as I work to transform the bare soil and seeds into the incredible bounty that lies within them.

On Traveling. Love it! Meeting new people, making new discoveries, trying and enjoying new foods, discovering history and making memories all appeal to me.

On Work. I understand that not many people do but I go to work each day loving my job. I am blessed to work in an environment where, despite our differences, we all have respect for each other and work together as a cohesive family/friend unit.

On Love. Where would I be without it?! God has manifested His love toward me not only through His son Jesus but He has also manifested His love, faithfulness and commitment to me through Kel. I am so grateful to have him in my life. He has been and continues to be my rock, my protector, my best friend and my lover all in one……plus he’s cute, quite handy, and I like having him around 😉 How lucky am I?!
